This issue of debt collection and debt collectors is an interesting one. You essentially have a situation where your customers are being legally abused verbally, mentally and often through the court system. From the standpoint of customer service this should be the death knell of a business. What makes it interesting is these same customers often represent the highest profit customers a business has. You walk a very fine line with them. You want them afraid of your collectors so they will pay you money but at the same time you don't want to push them into the arms of your competition.
